How Old Are These People?

Last night, Republican House Member, Joe Wilson, shouted “you lie” to President Obama during his speech about Health care.  Though he has now issued an apology, the damage to his reputation is done.  Republican or Democrat, one is stripped of dignity and respect when they handle themselves in such a way and yelling such comments is just tacky (which is why members of both parties boo’d after he heckled the Prez).

I remember sitting in horror when a man threw a shoe at President Bush.  While Bush was hardly my favorite politician, he was still the President of The United States.

What do you think of this kind behavior?

Do you think the men and women in politics are becoming more and more disgraceful or do you think it’s the same old game but the press is just reporting more?

relative to what van jones said to his audience not too long ago “republicans are *ssholes” — i’m not too surprised. both are a reminder of the sad state of the stark partisanship that now is the norm in dc. one was chosen by the people, and one was chosen by the ‘chosen one’ who was selected by the people.

Politics have always been scandalous. I, honestly, wish that Obama would have never been elected. In his first year in office, he has accomplished almost nothing. Everyone thinks that Bush was so terrible. Obama is not a refreshing change. I think that the people of America made a serious mistake by putting him into office. All he ever does is talk. It’s fine if you can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?
